About Us
Welcome to the South Allegheny School District! We are honored to have the opportunity to educate approximately 1450 students in grades K-12 from the boroughs of Glassport, Liberty, Lincoln, and Port Vue.
Through a longstanding commitment to excellence, it is our goal to continue to evolve in order to best prepare our students for their lives beyond the classroom, which is why we look to our Portrait of a Gladiator traits as we continue to move forward academically, socially, and emotionally.
With the traits of the Portrait of a Gladiator being the North Star for the focus of our District, our students are about to demonstrate multiple attributes such as showing accountability, demonstrating resilience, exhibiting lifelong learning, willingness to compromise, celebrating diversity, and embracing innovation.

These attributes are developed through dedication to building a solid foundation in early literacy, programming dedicated to social and emotional growth, multiple extracurricular opportunities, and innovative learning spaces which allow for a variety of personalized opportunities based on interests and exploration.
It is our belief that understanding each child as an individual, and providing opportunities for each child to explore and grow at their own pace, based on their own style of learning, and their own individualized interests will allow them to be the best they can be throughout their years at South Allegheny and beyond.
